Escape to the serene Grampians for a 4-day workshop that blends mindfulness, printmaking, and nature. This journey invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and create a hand-stitched book inspired by the beauty of native grasses. Guided by expert instruction, you’ll explore printmaking techniques that awaken your creativity while fostering inner calm and joy.

Day One: Explore + Field Trip
Begin with a mindful walk through the Grampians, gathering, photographing inspiration and connecting with the natural world. Back in the studio, you’ll carve your lino block, channeling your impressions into a quiet meditative creative flow.

Day Two: Playing with nature
Engage in the soothing process of gel plate printing, using found grasses and leaves to create textured, organic backgrounds. Experiment, play, and embrace the joy of discovery as you bring your vision to life.

Day Three: Paper Lithography
Immerse yourself in paper lithography, layering your earlier personal photographs, textures, and poetry to craft pages rich in meaning. The tactile process of building your book invites a deeper connection to your creative voice.

Day Four: Pulling it all together
Spend the final day assembling your book with care and intention, stitching it together as a celebration of your stay in the Grampians. Add personal touches with poetry, tracing paper overlays, and other elements. The workshop concludes with a group showcase of your stunning nature-inspired books.

This workshop is designed to help you pause, reflect, and rejuvenate your creative soul. Whether you’re an experienced artist or a beginner, you’ll leave with more than a book—you’ll take home a sense of calm, fulfillment, and a deeper connection to yourself and the world around you.
