In this 6-week workshop, we’ll be spreading our wings with collagraphy. This is a low-toxicity printing method where we’ll build textured boards featuring a variety of materials like tape, sandpaper, string, embossed wrapping paper, lace, and thick glue. Drawing, scratching, and incising into the boards adds to the fun!
Our theme will be all about birds, so we’ll create all sorts of feathered friends with different textures and effects.
Collagraphy lets us print multi-layered, vibrant images using water-soluble inks, making it a perfect medium for experimentation. The unpredictable nature of this technique will have us flying in new creative directions as we explore the limitless possibilities!
No experience is necessary and all materials are provided.
