NEW PRINTMAKING WORKSHOP
Immerse yourself in this one-day workshop which blends mindfulness, nature, and printmaking.
Explore various printmaking techniques and gel plates to create a hand-stitched artist’s book inspired by Mother Nature.
You will reconnect with your surroundings and let the serene Adelaide Hills spark your creativity.
Limited to 4-spots only—reserve now to embrace the art of slowing down.
Step into a day of creativity, nature, and printmaking as you craft a one-of-a-kind artist book inspired by our surroundings. This immersive workshop invites you to slow down, observe, and translate your surroundings into layered, tactile artworks.
We begin with a mindful walk, gathering inspiration through found textures, sketches, and photographs. Back in the studio, you’ll explore gel plate printing, using found foliage, grasses and leaves to create organic, textured backgrounds. Then, you’ll incorporate personal imagery, poetry, or mark-making to add depth and meaning to your pages.
Finally, you’ll assemble and hand-bind your artist book, adding thoughtful details like tracing paper overlays and stitched elements.
By the end of the day, you’ll leave with a beautifully handcrafted book—a personal reflection of nature, print, and creativity.

Interested in learning how to do Gelli plate monoprinting?
This process is easy, versatile, therapeutic, contagious and very accessible. I teach my approach – and from there, students can adapt and make it their own in whatever way tickles their fancy.
We work with gelli printing plates which are soft, reusable plates for transferring your work to paper with hand pressure. They are a very easy and mess-free way of making monoprints and work especially well with open Acrylic ink.
Monoprinting is a form of printmaking that allows you to create unique, free-form printed images every time. This allows you to produce abstract compositions, more complex details, and traced contour images. Monoprinting is a quick process that gets results much quicker than other printmaking techniques.
You’ll explore both structured and free-flowing techniques in this printing process, embracing the idea that there’s no single “correct” way to create. Every mark made is part of the journey—there are no mistakes, only creative discoveries!
