Print Exchange 2023: Sarah Hixson

Sarah N. Hixson is an artist based in Selinsgrove, PA, USA. Hixson started making hand-painted cards in 2020, beginning her printmaking journey in April 2021. She focuses on Victorian-era history and aesthetics, using her work to discuss difficult histories and contemplate contemporary life and society. Having a B.A. in Art History (2018) and an M.A in Indigenous Studies (2020), Hixson’s goal is to give back as much as it is to create; nearly every sale contributes to non-profit organizations such as Dreams of Hope in Pittsburg or the Buffalo Field Campaign based out of Yellowstone National Park.
