A former zoology student, I have developed an insatiable curiosity for exploring the world. My art gives me reason to explore the natural world and dabble in scientific exploration. As a storyteller, my work often sits at the intersection of art and science, combining facts with a bit of creative license to share my curiosity with other people. My work has sent me off to learn about the world of plankton and deep-sea exploration, cliff faces to learn about alpine plants and the history of early paleontology from the safety of my home. Without hesitation from my fear of heights, deep water and long dead, white European men. Embracing both traditional and digital methods of printmaking, my current practice has evolved to include paper-making, recycled materials and sewing.
