Print Exchange 2023: Jill Dunn

Working under the name Riverbird, Jill creates nature-inspired original hand-pressed linocut, woodcut and collograph prints from her cosy home studio next to the Penryn River in South Cornwall. She works from her own sketches, drawings and photographs, combining simple colour combinations with an often figurative style.

A lifelong fascination with sea and estuary birds lies at the heart of her work. She is intensely inspired by the beautiful nature that surrounds her in her home county. She has been practising printmaking for over eight years but in a full-time professional capacity since 2021.
