Family trips to the pool during summer are an Australian birth right, a treasured memory for many that grew up under the hot Aussie sun. The local outdoor pool is the perfect spot to splash around, swim laps and stay cool, with lifeguards supervising to ensure the safety of all visitors. This Australian Wood Duck didn’t however get the message about patron safety, picking the pool’s channel drain as an ideal birthing suite one late summer afternoon. Watching over the kids around water can be hard work, but this picture takes ‘raising a water baby’ to a whole new level.
