Print Exchange 2026: Rachel Droessler

My name is Rachel Droessler and my 11-year career as an archaeologist and current career as a GIS scientist for biologists fostered a love of nature, history, and the beauty of historical architecture; which I explore in many of my prints. Born and raised in San Diego, I also love to focus on local architecture, flora, and fauna. I live in a blended household of 5 cats – another subject which is common in my art. I enjoy a blend of realism and whimsy because you can’t be too serious in life! Printmaking is my primary passion, focusing on relief printing; although I also like to explore intaglio when I have the resources. I have taught printmaking classes and my prints have been shown in a variety of galleries in Southern California and have been commissioned by the San Diego Natural History Museum.
