Print Exchange 2026: Jon Warmington

I am a multimedia maker that enjoys the interplay between digital tools and hand-crafted processes, using both to shape and refine my work. With over 20 years supporting students in art, media, and design, I’ve developed a deep respect for process, material, and the transformation of ideas into tangible form. Originally from the UK and now based in South Carolina, this shift sparked a renewed commitment to creating work for myself. At its core, my work is rooted in storytelling, often approached with a sense of playfulness and humour. Each piece begins with an idea or narrative I want to explore, evolving through the act of making. My exploration of relief printing draws on the medium’s graphic history and its ability to produce repetition with variation, where subtle differences make each print distinct.
