Inspired by the simple joy of an ice cream on a hot day, this work captures a fleeting moment of summer: colourful, messy, and full of fun. The melting scoops speak to the temporary nature of those perfect days, while the bold colours and hand-carved lines reflect their energy and warmth. I wanted this piece to feel nostalgic without being sentimental—more about enjoying the moment than holding onto it. It’s a reminder to find happiness in the small things, even if they melt a little faster than expected. For me, 2 Scoops of Summer is a snapshot of life when it’s good, simple, and sweet as.
