Print Exchange 2025: Nicky Carney

I am a printmaker based in Stonyfell, South Australia, creating work that explores the quiet charm of gardens, greenhouses, and the animals that inhabit them. My prints focus on the small, intimate scenes of everyday life—cats lounging in the sun, greenhouses, and the peaceful spaces. These subjects reflect my interest in the balance between nature and domestic life. I’m drawn to the rhythms of seasonal growth, the structure of garden design, and the personalities of animals as they move through familiar spaces. Using relief printmaking techniques, I aim to capture these moments with clarity and warmth.
