Print Exchange 2025: Laura Wallis

Laura is a multidisciplinary artist from Adelaide who specialises in pencil work and is practicing printmaking. She explores merging themes of fantasy and the living world; wanting us to feel nostalgic for the fairy tales we were told in our younger years while reminding us of the creatures that go bump in the night. Inspired by nature, Laura aims to capture a moment in time and create whimsy in a world where people are so often fixated on the mundane. She uses her art to learn about the unique creatures that live on our earth, as well as the creatures that have emerged from our folklore.
