Print Exchange 2025: Danielle Martel

My print work explores the interplay between memory, landscape, and emotion, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty and shifting atmospheres of Aotearoa. Through layered textures, bold mark-making, and subtle colour palettes, I seek to evoke a sense of place that is both familiar and dreamlike. Printmaking allows me to experiment with process and chance, inviting unexpected outcomes and organic forms. Ultimately, my work is an invitation to pause, reflect, and connect with the world around us in new and meaningful ways.
