Print Exchange 2025: Amber Manteufel

My works explores the intrinsic relationship between people, nature and the Divine. As a ceramic artist and printmaker, pushing processes, layering of imagery and the abilities of the materials informs my practice. This print draws on imagery of the Illawarra flame tree seedpod, a tree which I overlook from my studio. The seedpod itself representing the beginning of an idea, the start of life. This seedpod has been incorporated in a ceramic cup I made, along with the text ‘what are you filling your cup with; love, hope, peace, joy, patience, kindness… ‘ This print features this cup and draws upon these ‘sweet as’ notions.
