Biography

I am a proud Disabled queer artist/activist from Naarm, Melbourne, living on the stolen lands of the Kulin nation. My artwork often explores Disability identity, culture and pride, using community and street art as well as printmaking. Due to ongoing experiences of Long Covid that also exacerbates my disability, my art has recently turned to documenting my smaller world. This includes my three cats who give me much needed love and company. This artwork is in response to a recent petition calling for a cat curfew in my local inner-city neighbourhood. I have concerns that this will negatively impact those who have less resources to implement such restrictions. My wish is that more support can be given to cat desexing and managing stray populations. My cat’s names are Pablo, Sylvie and Starman.
