Print Exchange 2024: Hui-Ju Chang

Chang Hui Ju is an illustrator and printmaker living and working in Taiwan. In 2017, I decided to follow my passion and switch from graphic design to printmaking. The style of my works is full of strange-shaped creatures and psychedelic uncertain spaces. The emotions conveyed by the images are deeply affected by the current environment. I like to use the Mezzotint technique, in its elegant layers, to create and reproduce undisturbed eternal spaces and various strange creatures. These intertwined mysterious spaces are where I play and relax, my wonderland. I hope these non-existent spaces and shapes can resonate with the audience at some point.
