Print Exchange 2024: Ben Fast

Ben Fast is a high school teacher in Victoria, BC (traditional territory of the lək̓ʷəŋən people) on Canada’s west coast. He started printmaking in 2023 to add new skills to a long list of hobbies and for a mental break from the craziness of his new career. A former museum and gallery professional, Ben is very curious about culture, art, tradition, place, and our relationship with nature. Printmaking has become another way to explore those themes while practising creativity.

Along with exploring new artistic mediums, Ben likes cycling and kayaking along Vancouver Island’s shores, travelling, hiking in the mountains, playing music, knitting, and storytelling.
