Print Exchange 2023: Patty Rijckaert

My name is Patty Rijckaert (Rotterdam 1964) I am a Dutch artist who graduated from the academy of fine arts in Belgium (printmaking). I live in the Netherlands on the border with Belgium.

My work is characterized by experimentation, sensitivity and atmosphere. I like to use techniques that are direct, and fast and I like materials that show their character when used. I work from my feelings and quite impulsively. People and nature are often my inspiration. In recent years I have been more concerned with abstracting my images. I also use mixed media.
