Print Exchange 2023: Janine Samuelson

Janine Samuelson’s work in relief printmaking is an interpretive view of Western Canada and her experiences, exploring movement, texture and pattern. Born and raised in Central Alberta, Janine attended the University of Calgary, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art in 1986. Areas of specialty include woodblock printing in the mokuhanga traditional method, and linocut relief printing on paper and fabric. Janine started Press and Relief Studio in 2019, and is working toward a full time art practice in the future.
