Print Exchange 2023: India Hopkins

India Hopkins is a South Australian printmaker living on Kaurna country in Adelaide, South Australia. She discovered a love of lino printing in 2020 that has become a passion since, influenced by a childhood and young adulthood focussed on artistic exploration outside of schooling, University and working life.

She creates lino prints at her kitchen table in to the small hours, inspired by still life, Australian flora, growing up in the Adelaide Hills, kitchen and childhood objects, shared food experiences, and personal moments with friends and loved ones. She has focussed on creating detailed and expressionistic single-block prints using oil-based ink on paper, multi-block prints, and hand colouring of prints using watercolours.
