Print Exchange 2023: Tricia Johnson

I am an artist working across an extensive variety of arts disciplines. I studied Art & Design in the Midlands before moving to the Sussex coast and gaining a B.A. (Hons) Degree. I then went on to achieve various teaching qualifications. I enjoy the challenge and exploration found in absorbing new methods and processes. This has enabled me over the past 20 years to teach a wide variety of art courses. My sculpture work featured on the UK’s ITV morning programme and exhibitions include venues in the UK, Hong Kong, Russia and Japan After a period focusing on other art disciplines, I returned to printmaking and the joy of the process is what pushes my work forward creatively. I enjoy working large and small with both intaglio and relief prints on a variety of themes. Learning different printing methods has helped me to begin experimenting with distinctive approaches to my prints and printing style.
